1. Introduction and Agreement

Welcome to 3rip. These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "Passenger" or "Rider") and 3rip Technologies Ltd ("3rip", "we", "us", or "our"). By registering, accessing, or utilizing our mobile application, web application, or ground transportation intermediary services in Nigeria, you expressly acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Services

3rip provides a technology platform that connects passengers seeking urban and intercity transportation with independent, third-party transportation providers ("Driver Partners"). You acknowledge that 3rip is a technology provider and does not directly operate transportation vehicles or employ drivers as common carriers.

3. Upfront Pricing & Fare Transparency

1. 1Integer Pricing in Naira (NGN): All fares, tolls, and cancellation charges are computed and displayed exclusively in whole Nigerian Naira (NGN).
2. 2Fixed Upfront Guarantee: The fare presented to you before ride confirmation is locked and final, provided the trip follows the agreed pickup, stops, and drop-off coordinates.
3. 3Route Amendments: If you add a midway stop or change your destination during an active trip, a recalculated fare quote will be presented for your confirmation before the modification takes effect.
4. 4Traffic & Delays: Standard traffic delays do not trigger unpredictable mid-trip multiplier surcharges.

4. Payments and Settlement

• Accepted Channels: You may settle ride charges through Cash in Nigerian Naira, Debit Cards (Mastercard, Visa, Verve) processed via our PCI-DSS certified payment partner Paystack, or your in-app 3rip Wallet balance.
• Card Security: 3rip never stores your primary card number (PAN), CVV, or card PIN on our servers. Card payments utilize bank-grade tokenized authorization.
• Driver Cash Payments: When paying cash, you agree to pay the exact completed trip fare directly to the Driver Partner upon arrival at your destination.

5. Passenger Conduct and Safety

• You must treat Driver Partners, their vehicles, and co-passengers with dignity and respect.
• Smoking, vaping, consumption of illegal substances, carriage of unpermitted hazardous materials, and carrying firearms or weapons of any description are strictly prohibited.
• Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian or authorized family member.

6. Cancellation and Waiting Fees

• Grace Period: You may cancel a requested ride without charge within two (2) minutes of driver acceptance.
• Driver Arrival Wait Time: Drivers will wait up to three (3) minutes at the designated pickup pin without additional fee. Waiting thereafter incurs a standard waiting fee as specified in our Ride Cancellation Policy.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any unresolved dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration conducted at the FCT Court of Arbitration or FCT Multi-Door Courthouse under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
